All Hagerman Ranch Beef products are processed in USDA inspected facilities, perfectly aged and flash frozen in individually sealed airtight packages. Your Hagerman Ranch Beef order is hand packed in a custom designed insulated and recyclable shipping box with dry ice. Boxes ship with dry ice pellets, which sublimate within 12 hours to keep the meats frozen in transit. Our superior packaging and dry ice mean beef can stay frozen for 48-92 hours if they hit any delays. *Handle dry ice with extreme care! Please see Dry Ice Safe Handling Tips enclosed with beef box.
Hagerman Ranch Beef will arrive frozen, partially frozen or below refrigerator temperature. Beef should be placed in freezer or refrigerator immediately upon delivery.
We recommend an order minimum of at least 5 pounds to ensure optimal frozen packaging, shipment and delivery.
If your beef arrives partially frozen and at least refrigerator cold (below 40 degrees F internal temp) it is safe to refreeze.
Just like when you buy meat at the grocery store, it has been frozen and kept refrigerated. You purchase, take home and can safely refreeze.
USDA guidelines state: If food is still partly frozen, still has ice crystals, or is as cold as if it were in a refrigerator (below 40 degrees F) it is safe to refreeze or use. It is not necessary to cook raw foods before refreezing.
Please refer to food safety guidelines when handling, cooking and serving beef.
