Tri Tip is a tender flavor-packed triangular steak cut into two individual steaks from the bottom sirloin. Although it is a lean cut of meat it does have a decent amount of fat offering a bit of a buttery taste. It does take to a marinade nicely and therefore will adopt the flavors of the ingredients.  Best cooked at a high heat either grilling broiling or pan searing! Two steaks per package.  Average weight per package is .75 lbs.

It's best to thaw a cut of beef in the refrigerator, or in the sink in COLD water. Remember to allow steaks to come to room temperature before cooking.

You should let a steak sit for 5 minutes after cooking before slicing it. If it's a thinker cut, allow 10 minutes before slicing. (Rule of thumb is 5 min per inch of thickness.)
